La Leona Waterfall: Pristine Blue Water Waterfalls and Hike

La Leona Waterfall is located near a little town called Curubandé, at the base of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.

 

In this tour we will walk along the Rio Blanco. which feeds the La Leona waterfall. The high concentration of minerals in the volcanic water gives the water a striking turquoise color, unique to Guanacaste.

 

We will hike through canyons and caves, entering the water multiple times as it is the only possible route.

 

Your hard work will be rewarded when you arrive at the spectacular La Leona waterfall, hidden deep in the dense jungle. This is one of Costa Rica’s best kept secrets. 

 

After such amazing experience, we relax and enjoy a yummy typical Costa Rican lunch and then we head back home.
